This immersive full-day session offers a comprehensive exploration of both the theoretical underpinnings and practical applications of Forest School.
The morning segment covers Forest School's philosophy, history, and its role in supporting holistic development and environmental stewardship.
The afternoon is devoted to practical activities, including the safe use of tools such as, axes, sheath knives and bow saws as well as the safe construction and use of fire, we will also cover planning and conducting outdoor learning sessions, risk assessment, and engaging children with nature.
This is aimed at educators seeking an in-depth understanding of Forest School principles and practices, including those in the early planning stages of integrating Forest School into their curriculum.

Half day Forest School Experience
Focus on Theory or Practical Elements
This session is designed for educators who are either looking to get an introduction to the Forest School philosophy or wish to enhance their practical skills in outdoor education. Participants can choose between a theory-focused workshop that delves into the principles, benefits, and pedagogical approaches of Forest School, or a practical workshop that provides hands-on experience with outdoor teaching techniques, safe fire and tool use, activity planning, and safety considerations.

This is aimed at educators new to Forest School, those looking for a refresher, or individuals interested in specific aspects of Forest School implementation.

Participants will leave with a solid understanding of either the foundational theory behind Forest School or practical skills they can immediately apply in their educational settings.
